A specialized path—not a shortcut.
Federal law provides a framework for qualifying replica vehicles made by eligible low-volume manufacturers. E‑Cite is pursuing this pathway as part of its focused production strategy.
No more than 5,000 motor vehicles worldwide in the prior calendar year for low-volume manufacturer status.
The replicated original design must be at least 25 years old.
What remains required
The framework does not exempt a manufacturer from every rule. Applicable equipment, labeling, recordkeeping, reporting, emissions, intellectual-property, and state registration or titling obligations remain. Program status and vehicle availability are subject to ongoing regulatory, engineering, and commercial development.
